ELIGIBILITY: With valid 2023 ORR-ez Certificate or rating will be assigned for those joining our fleet who have not previously obtained an ORR-ex certificate. CPYC one design classes may participate.
REGISTRATION: Register at Regatta Management Solutions www.regattaman.com
FEES: $130 for season pass. (MBSA Membership Discount $5.00). Series fee $70. Payable online at www.regattaman.com. Rumbles are included in series fees.
HANDICAP SYSTEM: ORR-EZ Certificate. Time on Time will be used.
RULES: This Event will be governed by US Sailing 2021-2024 RRS as modified by the MBSA General Sailing Instructions except as changed by the Event Sailing Instructions.
NOTICES TO COMPETITORS: On www.regattaman.com or by VHF radio Channel 72.
SIGNALS MADE ASHORE: At Cottage Park Yacht Club and VHF radio channel 72.
SCHEDULE OF RACES: One stand-alone race per evening.
WARNING SIGNAL: The first warning signal will be made at 1830 hrs. The first warning signal after August 28th will be at 1800 hrs.
RACING AREA: Start in the vicinity of Yellow Nun “E”, 1+ miles west of Deer Island Light.
THE COURSE: Courses using marks from Cottage Park Yacht Club Wednesday Night Racing Mark List will be designated by letters displayed by the race committee signal boat.
MARKS: Cottage Park Yacht Club Wednesday Night Racing Mark List REVISED 2023. The Race Committee boat may also have copies available and posted on www.regattaman.com.
TIME LIMIT: The time limit for each class shall be two hours. The Finishing Window will be 30 minutes after the first boat finishes in each class.
SCORING: The low point system will be used in accordance with Appendix A4 of The Racing Rules of Sailing (2020 -2024). Rumble finishes are not included in Series I, II, or Overall Series Scoring.
PRIZES: Prizes will be awarded at MBSA/CPYC awards night for first place in each class for Series 1 and Series 2. Prizes will be awarded for three places in each class for the overall Series.
SOCIAL: All sailors are invited to the CPYC Pilot House following the evening racing. Contact RC at windjammer@cpyc.org or Launch driver VHF 78 to arrange for dockage or mooring.
