The CPYC floater program was established to allow mooring members use vacant slips in the marina that become open because of the permanent slip occupant not having their boat in their assigned slip due to late launch, vacations, etc. The Club’s Marine Facilities Committee overseas this program and is managed day to day by the Club Wharfinger. In any given season, there may be up to four (4) floater assignments which are awarded prior to the opening of the marina based on the seniority of those mooring occupants that apply for the floater position, each March, when they submit their Marine Facilities application. Floaters are designated numerically (#1, #2, #3, #4) with lowest number have the priority to use a slip as it becomes vacant, subject to the size of the slip being able to accommodate the size of the floater’s vessel.
