The 39th Annual
JFK Regatta

Sunday, August 25, 2024

The JFK Regatta, an annual tradition that commenced in 1986, stands as a venerable testament to the seafaring spirit of Greater Boston Harbor, hosted by Cottage Park Yacht Club. Serving as a qualifier to the MassBay Championship Series, this regatta offers sailors a chance to etch their names into the annals of maritime achievement. The Perpetual JFK Trophy, a substantial bronze bust of the esteemed John Fitzgerald Kennedy, awaits its annual inscription with the names of first-place victors in each class. Expanded to include seven Mass Bay Sailing classes, the regatta attracts sailors from various disciplines, creating a dynamic and competitive maritime spectacle. Beyond the thrilling competition, the winners are celebrated at the MassBay Sailing Association awards night, and their triumphs become an integral part of CPYC’s rich sailing history.

This event, part of the MBSA Season Championship splits, welcomes sailors from diverse backgrounds and skill levels. Registration is a breeze—simply click on the registration link above and secure your spot in the race. The entry fee is $65, with a $5 discount for Mass Bay sailing members. This regatta employs the Time on Time handicap system, and an ORR-ez certificate is required.
