Hello! Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Cottage Park Yacht Club!

To begin the process, please fill in the application form below, attach a 2″x2″ photo, and attaching the required applicant and sponsor declarations. A member of our Membership Committee will contact you to schedule your interview. At the time of your interview, you’ll be asked to being a check for the first year’s dues. Checks should be made out to CPYC according to the membership type:

  • Regular Member with no boat: $1,288. This includes $1,238 annual membership, plus a $25 application fee and $25 cardkey deposit.
    • You will be billed separately for marina fees if you are bringing a boat
  • Young Adult (Ages 18-30): $928. This includes $878 annual membership, plus a $25 application fee and $25 cardkey deposit.
  • Social Member: $717. This includes $667 annually, plus $25 application fee and $25 cardkey deposit. Our social memberships are currently full. We can put your name on our waitlist.

Included in the above amount are $125 in “chits” which you can spend in the Pilot House, use on Club apparel or to pay for Club events. The chits will be loaded onto your membership card, which gives you access to the club. Also included in the above amount is a $25 dredging fee. Fees for use of the various marina facilities are added to these base membership costs.

A membership in the club is for an individual; If applicable to your membership type, spouse and children (17 and younger) have all Club privileges except holding office, voting and obtaining boating facilities. Members receive one cardkey to gain entrance to the clubhouse. An additional cardkey or key fob for your spouse may be obtained from the Secretary for a fee.

List children's names and DOBs (under 18). Please indicate if any of your children will be enrolling in the Youth Sailing Program (YSP). Minium age for YSP is 8.

BOAT OWNERSHIP

If you will be keeping at boat at CPYC, please complete the following: If you have a boat partner, all (non-spousal) registered owners of the boat must be club members. Please fill in a Marina Application and provide us with a copy of your registration and insurance binder.

OTHER INFORMATION

The Cottage Park Yacht Club expects its members to volunteer their time on one of the many committees at the club. By volunteering, the club is able to control operating costs and keep fees to a minimum. Listed below are the committees at the club. Please indicate which committee you would be willing to join. To learn more about what each committee does please review this document.
The chairperson of the committe you have selected will contact you soon after your election to the club.

All prospective members are required to submit signatures from two CPYC members in good standing sponsoring and supporting the prospective member's application for membership.
