Two long races, both east up the Deer Island Shore, since the channel was closed for an LNG tanker.
First race, was a WL 2x. After the first lap, the wind completely died, and the fleet compressed, with the boats all right next to each other with sails limp. Finally whispers of breeze picked up, and those who were in the right place at the right time, and not too close to the shore made out.
Second race was WLWLW. The wind was a little steadier, and the fleet remained close. Peter Costa and Jeff Cook, had a perfect port-tack start at the pin, stayed in the breeze, and never looked back, controlling the fleet for the rest of the race. Costa and Cook won the race by a minute, while Charles/Baker, Braverman/Rezac, Allen/Buxton, and Zambella/Lehner finished within seconds of each other.
Thanks again to Hatch, Danny, Dev and Jim.
