Started cloudy and light, but the conditions got better as the day went on, and turned out to be an ideal day for sailboat racing. 5-8 knots from the southeast with an outgoing tide. Made for quick beats and slow, almost painful runs.
The first three races were single windward leewards with the windward marks being one of the anchorage buoys off of Deer Island. The last race was a W-L-W with a long reach back to CPYC.
Next week concludes the 'Spring' Fleet Series, also known as the Fleet Qualifications. Top 5 races takes the cake.
